The perennial Bergenia 'Heartleaf', also known as 'Pig Squeak' for the unique sound of its leaves when rubbed, boasts thick and glossy foliage that turns a rich burgundy colour in the fall. In the spring, sturdy stems display clusters of elegant pink flowers. This versatile plant thrives in both sunny and shaded areas, attracting butterflies and proving to be deer-resistant. It is ideal for use as a specimen, in mass plantings, as borders or ground cover, and even in rock gardens.
